During Homeschool Day at the Billy Graham Library, families participated in fun activities together as they explored how people are using their different skills and strengths to serve God.

On Aug. 28, hundreds of homeschool families across the Charlotte area visited the Billy Graham Library to learn how everyday jobs can be a ministry to the Lord. They also discovered how God has used the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) to reach people around the world with the Good News.

Robert, who’s in 10th grade, was amazed that volunteers with BGEA’s internet evangelism ministry, Search for Jesus, are sharing the Gospel in eight languages online. He plans to be a computer engineer after he graduates and said he didn’t know that working in technology could be a ministry opportunity.

“Talking to people in all these different languages, I could probably do that on the computer,” Robert said.

Natalie, an 11th-grader, was captivated by the way graphic design is used to advertise evangelism events around the world. She realized that creative talents can help make Gospel-related materials eye-catching.

“[Knowing] how to share the Gospel and doing it in such a pretty and inviting way is cool,” she said, surrounded by colorful displays.

Rachel, a mom of three, said the Library has been on her list to visit since moving to Charlotte in 2021. She wants her kids—ages 2 to 9—to “experience the Gospel in exciting ways.”

Rachel already sees in her older two children the desire to serve others and said learning how volunteers help out at the Library is prompting her kids to think about using their talents for the Lord.
