Evangelistic Ministry
Franklin Graham has devoted his life to proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ around the world and serves as president and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA). His first evangelistic event with the ministry was held in 1989, and since then, he has continued to share the Good News through more than 345 outreaches in 56 countries and territories.
Most recently, Franklin preached in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where nearly 440,000 people gathered in the country’s largest square to hear a message of God’s love. Later this year, he is looking forward to proclaiming the hope of Jesus Christ in London, England; Brussels, Belgium; and Buenos Aires, Argentina; as well as hosting the European Congress on Evangelism in Berlin, Germany. Last year, Rev. Graham preached in Krakow, Poland; Birmingham, England; Glasgow, Scotland; and Naples, Italy; as well as in the countries of Laos, Vietnam, Mexico, and in 10 cities in the U.S.
Franklin has a heart for Europe and has preached 30 times in 19 countries throughout Europe since 1999. The upcoming Festival de la Esperanza in Madrid marks a historic return to Spain, where Rev. Graham last preached in Barcelona in 2015. Rev. Graham and BGEA are working with hundreds of evangelical churches throughout Madrid to share with the people of Spain that God loves them and has a purpose for their lives.
In addition to serving as president and CEO of BGEA, Franklin also leads the international Christian relief and evangelism organization Samaritan’s Purse, which helps meet the needs of refugees, victims of war and natural disasters, the sick, the poor, and the suffering in more than 100 countries around the world.
Under his leadership, Samaritan’s Purse has helped more than 10 million people in Ukraine. The organization has operated five field hospitals and five medical clinics in the war-torn country, supported nearly 300 hospitals with supplies and training, distributed over 122 million kilos of food, and provided 910,000 kilos of relief supplies on 43 airlifts. The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association is also working in Ukraine, where the organization has trained hundreds of Ukrainian chaplains to share God’s hope in crisis.
